baseball

When anyone plays baseball they always want a good, hard hit. When I play baseball I try to hit the ball the left outfield because I'm a right handed batter and it's easier to swing that way. I would have to say that I would rather bat then be in the outfield because even though my arm is pretty good at throwing I would rather hit the ball. I'm not a big fan of baseball but I do like to play it with my friends when we have free time. I think the Twins are pretty good and they would have to be my favorite team. My friend and I were playing baseball together on his neighbors' lawn. He was pitching and I was batting. He threw the ball has hard and fast as he could. It flew right at my bat as I smacked it. We saw it fly over the alleyway and over the next house. We ran to find it and saw it rolling down the hill. We almost got to it when it started to turn toward a creek. I can run faster than my friend so I was closer. "If I dive for it I can catch it," I thought in my head. Now I was at legs reach. I thought about kicking it sideways before It got to the edge of the bridge and fell off the side. To late it went flying under the guardrail and went over the shallow concrete part. It landed right into the muddy gross swampy are. It was deep in mud and probably soaked. My friend and I stared right at the spot we saw it land but the sand had gone up in the water so you couldn’t see for a while until it settled. I was going to try to retrieve it but it was to far from the edge of the concrete drop off and also far from the edges. I think someone snatched it later that day or early in the morning because when we went to rescue it, it was gone. I wonder if i could get another good hit like that, I think I’m going to try.

Football

Football is a fun contact sport. I play football with my friends and I want to go out for it next time. I like football because if you like running and you can catch it'll be a good combination. If you have a good arm and good aim you can be a good QB but you also have to be alert for any sackers. When you playing with your friends you don’t hit each other as hard as you would in a game. My family doesn’t really watch football, but my brother and I watch some games especially particularly the super bowl. I like to play against two of my neighbors because I’m bigger so they team up. It funny when they think I’m going down so they push at me harder and I just swivel around and pass them and they fall down on the grass. At times I pretend to fumble the ball and they chase it down and make a touchdown. Also, when they receive the ball one will protect the ball holder and takes on me. He would try and push me to the side so the other player can run it or at least try. But its pretty cool after they get a down they try and pass it and while one inches forward the other one goes long for the ball. one time they were playing this trick on me and I thought he was going to run it so i run up to him and he throws it high in the air toward his teammate and he catches it and makes a touchdown. I like football when I'm playing with younger friends or older friends.
